February 27 Update:
Thank you for your patience with our volunteers who are trying to sort out the banquet ticket situation.
We were able to secure 75 more tickets to sell with the venue! The registration link (once approved by Zone4) will be emailed to Club representatives/coaches and those who completed the wish list google form.
Our goal is to make this banquet athlete-prioritized, so we do ask that you consider purchasing tickets for athletes first. That being said, there needs to be enough supervision at the event for safety and to manage the chaos. 😉 We hope that all athletes who want to come to the banquet have the opportunity to attend.
We are also looking into finding a volunteer to live stream the awards, so other family members not present can participate virtually. If you have skills to help with this endeavour, please reach out to [email protected].
We would like to acknowledge our amazing skiing community who has been sending offers to sell their tickets, so that all athletes can attend the banquet; we will return to this idea, if necessary, but as you can imagine it takes way more coordination of efforts than we can handle right now. Thank you so much for trying to help our volunteers solve this situation.
We do encourage teams to talk amongst themselves to consider some ticket redistribution (e.g., the family of Sally U14G from Soo Finnish has 4 tickets in total, and instead of both parents and non-racing sibling attending, 2 of the tickets could be sold to her teammates Billy and Bobby).
Thanks again for showing us that skiers are really awesome people.
