Summer Dryland Training 2025

Summer dryland training officially begins Tuesday, June 3! Dryland is a key part of a skier’s development as an athlete.  Our programming was designed to prepare our athletes for cross country skiing during the off-season. General Info

  • All practice times, training camps, events, and updates will be posted on TeamSnap
  • Dryland sessions are structured SFN practices and/or group activities led by a trained coach
  • Practices and events are subject to changes based on environmental conditions, with athletes’ best interests in mind—updates will always be shared on TeamSnap
  • Monthly “Mini Camps” will offer additional skill sessions for Racing Rabbits 2 and Juniors
  • Opportunities for integration with different age/training groups, targeting athlete retention and a greater sense for the larger ski community
  • Helps ensures athletes are prepared for the winter season with a balanced mix of skill-building and conditioning activities year-round

Weekly Schedule

Note: Roller ski groups will be assigned at the first roller ski session. Advanced and Intermediate groups will start June 5th, the Beginner group will start June 26th

Racing Rabbits 2

  • Tuesdays – On-foot (ski walking, running, etc)
  • Thursdays – Beginner roller ski group (starts June 26)
  • Monthly Mini Camps scheduled on Monday evenings

Junior Ski Team

  • Tuesdays – On-foot training (ski walking, running, etc)
  • Thursdays – Beginner (starts June 26) or Intermediate roller ski group (starts June 5)
  • Monthly Mini Camps scheduled on Monday evenings

Senior Ski Team

  • Tuesdays – On-foot training (ski walking, running, etc)
  • Wednesdays – Ski-specific strength
  • Thursdays – Intermediate or advanced roller skiing (starts June 5)
  • Saturdays – Senior+ roller ski session (most weeks)

Required Equipment

  • Skate roller skis, skate boots, and poles with roller ski tips
  • Helmet and high-visibility shirt
  • Ski-walking poles
  • Trail shoes
  • Belt/bag to carry water and snacks

Dryland training fees are listed in the 2025–2026 SFN Race Program Catalogue. Please review the document for full pricing details based on your skier’s program level.

Try it out for free the first week —  skiers who will be on Racing Rabbits 2, Junior or Senior Ski Team are welcome to attend the first week at no cost.
