We invite all members and supporters of the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club to our annual awards banquet to celebrate another wonderful ski season with our amazing community. Cross country skiing is a sport for life and this year’s banquet will recognize skiers of all ages and abilities for their accomplishments of staying active outdoors.

When: Sunday, April 27, 2025, 4pm doors open for Jackrabbit report pick up and seat selection, 5pm presentation and dinner is served
Dinner is salad, pasta & meatballs, dessert, coffee/tea. Cash bar available. Please let us know if you have any food allergies/sensitivities when purchasing tickets.

Awards and Nominations
Our virtual trophy case has information on the four major awards that are given out annually at the banquet and also lists previous winners. If you would like to nominate someone for one of our awards, we ask that you please submit your nomination by Friday, April 4, 2025 online using the nomination form. Nominations may be made by Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club members; however, nominees need not necessarily be ski club members.
Coaches from each Club program nominate skiers to receive an award. Here is a list of the 2024 recipients.
Silent Auction
The silent auction returns! Proceeds will support Club programs. Please contact [email protected] if you have any items to donate or can help with the silent auction.
New to our silent auction? You’ll love it! It occurs during the banquet and awards presentation and there is an assortment of items you can bid on: gift certificates for goods and services, ski gear, baked goods, artwork, toys, jewelry, and the list goes on. There is something for everyone. An announcement will be made towards the end of the evening informing attendees when bids will close. Winners will be announced, and items can be paid for by cash, cheque, or email money transfer.
