Join us for the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club’s Annual Awards Banquet as we celebrate another amazing ski season! We’ll honour skiers of all ages and abilities for embracing the outdoors and staying active, including volunteers whose dedication keeps our club thriving. When: Sunday, March 29, 2026, 5pm doors open for Jackrabbit report pick up and seat selection, 6pm presentation and dinner is served.
Dinner is salad, pasta & meatballs, dessert, coffee/tea. Gratuity is included. Cash bar available. Please let us know if you have any food allergies/sensitivities when purchasing tickets.

Awards and Nominations
Our virtual trophy case has information on the four major awards that are given out annually at the banquet and also lists previous winners. If you would like to nominate someone for one of our awards, we ask that you please submit your nomination by Friday, March 20, 2026, online using the nomination form. Nominations may be made by Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club members; however, nominees need not necessarily be ski club members.
Coaches from each Club program nominate skiers to receive an award. Here is a list of the 2025 and 2024 recipients.
Silent Auction
Our much-loved silent auction fundraiser has a new look this year, using Zeffy’s online fundraising platform: Soo Finnish Nordic Silent Auction 2026
This online delivery will streamline bidding and payments. Now you can browse, bid, and pay through your smartphone and will be notified when the bids close on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. Payments for winning bids will be processed automatically with the payment information you entered with your bid.
Auction items will be on display at the banquet, but there will be no cash or in-person bidding options. Everything is done from your computer or phone, making it easier to track your bids during the dinner and awards presentation.
Zeffy is a free service for non-profit organizations like Soo Finnish Nordic. When you place your bid you have the option whether to include or remove a tip for the Zeffy service. That’s how Zeffy gets paid, but there is no obligation to include this.
