Congratulations to Kate de Beer for her recent nomination to the Ontario Junior Ski Team (OJST)!
In addition to Kate competing at 10 Ontario sanctioned race starts this 2023-2024 season and earning over 70 points on the Canadian Points List (CPL) in both Sprint and Distance, she also competed in the high school race schedule, and at the Canadian National Championships, all of which took her away from her home, school studies, friends, and family.
This nomination not only acknowledges Kate’s talent and race success, it shows her overall commitment to the sport, consistent training year-round, and it is very much a win for all of her supporters – teammates, coaches, wax techs, the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club community, in addition to the Northern Ontario District (NOD) skiers and volunteers, Cross Country Ski Ontario, and Nordiq Canada.
