Racing Rocks! Cross Country Tournament – Saturday, February 28, 2015

Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club, sponsored by Cross Country Canada, is hosting Racing Rocks – a ski tournament for children aged 4 to 14 at Hiawatha Highlands, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

The event encourages children, with a wide range of skill levels and ski experience, to participate in the sport of cross country skiing. It is an opportunity to introduce skiers to the fun aspects of competition in a team-based environment. Good ski technique will be encouraged. It will be a memorable day!

The ski tournament will begin at 9:45 AM on Saturday, February 28th, and will consist of a mad dash sprint race, multiple relay based games on ski playgrounds, awards, and a hot dog and hot chocolate social. There will be a Choose Your Own Adventure mystery ski time trial after the event for all ages with registration on Zone4.ca (coming soon).
