The Idaho International is one of the premier cross country ski racing series in North America. The series attracts top male and female cross country skiers from across North America and Europe. Held annually in early spring, the IICCS typically features five or six stages held at various Idaho race venues over a week long period.
Emily Hayman, representing Ontario and the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club, competed in the Junior Women category.
Emily placed 7th in a field of 22 in the pursuit with a total time of 33:13.9. The pursuit event is a combination skating and classic races held on consecutive days. On April 2, she placed 7th in the skating event with a time of 16:46.8 and on April 3 she placed 6th in the classic event with a time of 16:27.9.
In the classic event held on April 5, she placed 5th out of 21 with a time of 15:58.8.
On April 7, Emily teamed with Colleen Mortimer in the Sprint Relays. They placed 2nd out of 9 teams with a time of 30.33.8.
