Sault Ste. Marie cross country skiers placed high in the standing at the Noquemanon Ski Marathon in Marquette, Michigan on Saturday. Conditions were harsh with cold temperatures and blowing winds.
In the Classic race, Dave Lomas finished 23rd overall out of 161 skiers and was 5th in his age group. Marg Meincke crossed the line 101st and was 1st in her age group.
In the Freestyle race, Greg Prodan finished 15th overall out of 211 skiers and was 1st in his age group. Scott Mccron was 4th in his age group and Brent Krmpotic was 6th in his age group.
